The Snowmobile Recreation Council carries out studies and makes recommendations to the Legislature, Governor, Department of Natural Resources and Department of Transportation on all matters related to the snowmobiling program at the DNR or otherwise affecting snowmobiles and snowmobiling in Wisconsin and makes recommendations to the department of natural resources with regard to funding grant applications.

The Snowmobile Recreation Council will meet to discuss topics pertaining to the program and make funding recommendations to the Department. The public will be invited to join the meeting via Zoom. The Zoom meeting link, agenda, and other meeting materials are available on the Snowmobile Recreation Council web page.

This is a preliminary public hearing on Statement of Scope SS 088-23 (Board Order DG-16-23), which affects ch. NR 809, Wis. Adm. Code, and is related to the control of lead and copper in public drinking water, to be consistent with revisions to the federal Lead and Copper Rule and the federal Lead and Copper Rule Improvements.

Pre-registration is strongly encouraged if you plan to provide spoken comments during the hearing. To pre-register, please save and complete the fillable appearance slip and submit it to BruceD.Rheineck@wisconsin.gov. You may also submit written comments on the scope statement to DNRAdministrativeRulesComments@wisconsin.gov by 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2024.

The village of Tigerton has requested approval from the DNR to dispose of sediments dredged from the Upper Tigerton Pond. The material would be placed on a village-owned property located at 1100 Quad Park Lane. The material would be capped with a minimum of 2 feet of native soil and seeded.
